Once, in our meeting somebody
brought the news that in UK, a certain lawsuit had been finally completed
after 100 years. Most everyone laughed derisively, obviously thinking that
such a delayed settlement surely was useless. But P.P.Doctorjee remained
quiet.
After the laughter subsided, he proceeded to explain. He said: “Look at the
wonderful continuity and organization of their administration! In a century
surely the lawsuit went through several presiding judges. The original
plaintiffs and the accused persons; as well as their attorneys and witnesses
were all dead; but the lawsuit proceeded without being halted! It reached to
its final conclusion even after such a long time. This calls for an
extraordinarily well-organized work. This is surely a good quality that we
all must emulate!”
