14. Leadership Under Duress:

In the Nagpur of 1926, some anti-social elements began to excite religious tensions by demanding that no musical instruments could be played in the vicinity of mosques.  Hindus traditionally have religious processions with a full complement of artists playing various musical instruments. This new-found anti-music demand was nothing but a mischievous attempt at irking Hindus.

On a Friday night, frightened musicians stopped playing their instruments as the religious procession came in the vicinity of a mosque.  Not to be outdone, Doctorjee himself picked up the drum and led the procession.  This restored the courage of the people, and the procession proceeded peacefully undaunted.

Even if a real leader appears to be just one in a crowd, he always leads with a visionary step forward when the "moment of truth" arrives! Doctorjee's life is a glowing testimony to this fact.
